Common
Name: Swimming mayfly. / Darter
Description: Can appear to be a small fish or shrimp at first due to its rapid
darting movements. Long and thin in appearance, lightbrown / grey in color. Tail
filaments appear to look hairy. Up to#10 hook size. Mainly found in backcountry
streams but can be found in lakes (Lake Brunner is full of them some years.). They have been found to react
to prescence of trout by changing to nocturnal drifting habits.
